A New Beginning for Cotton & Cloud!

Welcome to the new Cotton & Cloud!out of box

Just out of the box. Wata celebrates the site launch.

Gosh, it has been a long few weeks for me. But finally the site is up. Do you like it? I hope so, because I love it! My sister had her baby last week. So September is a special month for me. I can’t wait to see my new nephew in Japan!

Firstly I would like to thank you for being so patient with me while I completely disappeared from the blogland. Everyone’s blog links are now found in the “Links” tab which you can find at the bottom of every page. Transferring all the links was very confusing and everything was usually done late at night. So if I had missed anyone out, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. There is absolutely no reason why you are not on the links section. If you are new to Cotton & Cloud and would like your blog / sites to be linked, let me know also ;)

Thank you also to Aeolidia who designed and did literally everything for my site. They are superbly genius and I would recommend to everyone if you want to have an excellent website. They are professional, organised, talented and hard working people. Without them this site would not be amazing.

Thank you also to Kittenchops who designed my logo and two illustrations. Isn’t she so clever to have designed such an effective yet super cute logo? If you see carefully, the girl is knitting a heart. This illustrates sustainable happiness and the charity aspect of my site. She is essentially “crafting a difference”. The little bird is actually wearing hand-knitted socks. If you then look more carefully, you can see some Japanese patterns on the sock birds and the knitting girl illustrations. I just love them so much.

brand new nephew

My new nephew -Kose- who was born last week.

There are many functions that are new. Do please browse through the site and checkout my new items. You can now shop for everything from one place!

Furry Fridays will resume from next week. For those who have returned my questionnaire, thank you so much. You guys are going to be featured soon. If you want to participate in Furry Fridays, just contact me.

I am now back in the blogland. There will be lots of new posts (I have so much to tell you guys!) . For now, hope you are all having a great week!

KumoKumo is so bored of waiting for me. He even demolished his house and is sleeping on it…

CONGRRATS to your sister and all your family on the arrival of beautiful little Kose…what a little love! So happy for you all. Will you be going to Japan to visit? The new beginning here is terrific, my friend…can’t wait to be visiting again soon. :o ) Happy weekend to you all there ((BIG HUGS))

    • kyoko says:

      Hi Tracy!
Thank you for stopping by too :D I am SO happy that you like the site. It’s fun, isn’t it? It is also very exciting that I have another nephew. Seeing a new-born wobbly baby in skype really makes me want to hug him. 2009/10 will be a busy year for me to do lots of baby knits. I am planning to go to Japan in later January. The flight fare should be lower then. So happy to see you here! Have a wonderful weekend!!

    • kyoko says:

      Hi Ruth!
Thank you :D You are right, it is like moving into a new home! I was a little stiff on the next day of my run but I am totally recovered now. After the event, it is quite difficult to continue with the run but I am doing my best to run at least twice a week.
Hope you are having a good weekend!

  9. Mary says:

Congratulations Kyoko! On the new lovely website and your new nephew. He is so cute!! I bet you’re looking forward to visting him. Now, I’d better have another look around your new website.

    • kyoko says:

      Hi Mary!
Thank you :D Yeah, saw my nephew on skype today and he has his eyes open. So cute. I am thinking of lots of things to knit for him as his dad comes from a very cold part of Japan (you can ski there!). In the new year, my sister has to visit her husband’s family and relatives so I must make something before then.
Hope you find something you like there. Hope you had a good day yesterday.

Hey Kyoko! Your new site is fabulous. The design is really cool – I spent some time looking carefully at it before I went on to explore the new Cotton & Cloud. SO! Congratulations on your new nephew and your new site and on having a great September.

I am going off to Canada (home) for a couple of weeks and then I am going to come back and order one of your purse-frame-helpers – looks like such a good idea – much better than getting glue all over my Gingher clipping scissors!

    xxxx ;o) Judy

    • kyoko says:

      Hi Judy!
Thank you so much :D So happy to see you here and glad that you like the site. I am so jealous that you are going to Canada! One day, I would like to live there as my knitting skill would probably be better utilised! Hope you have a wonderful time and make sure you take lots of photos! Yep, will keep the purse tool for you ;D
