My Name is Kyoko, the founder of Cotton & Cloud. I have been living in the UK for over 20 years (right now with my wonderful boyfriend Wesley and two sweetest Cornish Rex cats, Kumo & Wata). I am Japanese had been working as a pharmacist until the beginning of 2007. Since the day one, I was making thing. Knitting and sewing have been important elements for me as a person. A serendipitous encounter with Etsy changed my life completely. I decided to start my Cotton & Cloud selling original handmade bags and pouches from England. In December 2007, we discovered that my cat (Wata) had a terminal cancer. So young, only 5 years old. Until then I never faced death so close to my life before. This made me decide to sell my original hand-knitted accessories and donate a proportion to charities. I am somehow hoping that doing good would prolong Wata’s life and reduce suffering.
I have finally managed to start organising myself to do the Cotton & Cloud blog. I hope this will be a good one.
What will I blog about? I am hoping to blog about life behind Cotton & Cloud and other wonderful crafters around the world.
