April this year is packed full of events: Mother’s Day, Royal Wedding, Easter. The weather is fantastic too. It’s almost like the summer has come before the spring.

As usual, I have been busy swatching. This time, I am using a Japanese yarn called Premio from Olympus (Tasmanian Polwarth blend; 124 yd [114 m]/40 g). They are not available in UK yet but it will be soon.
I am used to design and knit with Jamieson’s of Shetland yarn which is very tweedy (and which I love). With softer yarn, I always find less rustic and more modern looks (both the stitches and colours) are suitable. I really loved the way it felt through my fingers while knitting with the new yarn from Japan. The yarn has a lovely lustre and squishy. Here are the swatches!

I won’t say what the theme of the swatches is or what they are supposed to look like as I would like you to guess
Happy knitting!
