Cloudy Apples – Introducing E-project by Jen Arnall-Culliford & Kyoko Nakayoshi

September used to be a month of dread for me as a child because the school starts and I had to say goodbye to my family and come back to my boarding school. Now I love September because it is the beginning of knitting season!! No going back!

What’s especially exciting is that I can now finally talk about what Jen Arnall-Culliford and I have been doing! It’s called Cloudy Apples and we have been designing knitted accessory patterns as e-projects. It’s been absolutely fantastic and I love working with her.

Happy September!

First thing first, Cloudy Apples is a collection of 9 accessories to knit. The whole project (i.e. the full launch) will be available on Ravelry from 16th October but we will pre-launch with a staged release of patterns 4 weeks prior (see below for further details). This means you can see the first couple of patterns towards the end of next week!

I love working in collaboration with others. There are so many new discoveries and encounters. Nic who is so lovely and super creative, did all the layout for the pattern and she is the one who suggested the name Cloudy Apples. I love the name and am so grateful because I am no good at naming things. Jesse did the photography. I was a little nervous to have my images and video taken, but he did such a great job and we both felt so natural. The shoot location was in beautiful Somerset. I want to live there!

Somerset Town.

It’s taken a while since we initially started the project (since last October!) but thanks to Jen’s super organising skill, we are almost ready! Here is a sneak intro video of Cloudy Apples. You can also read and see more video over Jen’s blog!

The details:
Cloudy Apples – A Collection of 9 Adorable Accessories to Knit – available shortly from Ravelry.
Special eBook pre-order price – £7.00 – valid from first pattern release, until midnight on 15th October 2012. From 16th October 2012 the eBook will cost £9.00.

Pre-launch starts at the end of next week, and a pair of patterns will be released weekly for 3 weeks, with the final 3 patterns released on 16th October.
