Christmas is coming around the corner (aaggh! don’t wanna think about it! – I have too much to do before :O ). Do your furries get Christmas prezzies?
While browsing on Etsy for some fun Christmas gift for Kumo and Wata, I thought of one particular seller who has been in my favourite for a long time.
So, today is all about Anne and Bean. Anne creates amazing dog and cats crochet clothing. You can find them on Beantown Handmade.
About Anne
My husband, Michael, and I are the creators of Beantown Handmade. I started creating sweaters for our Boston Terrier, Bean and fell in love with creating apparel for dogs. I started posting handmade pet apparel on Etsy in November of 2008 and was amazed by the positive design to my creations and the photos of Bean.

One thing I admire about Bean is that he sits still. I would have to take millions of photos of Kumo and Wata to take this kind of shot. Well done Bean!
Bean makes people smile and he is a wonderfully trusting and patient model. He is currently our only employee and is well paid in belly rubs, peanut butter, rawhides and lots of positive reinforcement. You can read more about Bean and our furry customers on our blog, www.beantownhandmade.blogspot.com

Super kool jacket! Love the design, colour combination and most of all, Bean!
How did you meet Bean?
We got Bean as a puppy in a small town in Central Nebraska from a very sweet family. We chose Bean out of the three puppies we met because he got in my lap immediately after we got there – it was love at first snuggle. Bean is my first dog (my parents were allergic), so he has a very very special place in my heart. Bean is currently on the search for a potential brother or sister from a rescue organization.
How would you describe Bean’s personality?
Bean is loving, intelligent, persistent, playful and very perceptive.
What is Bean’s favourite toy?
He loves his stuffed Penguin named Percy. He also LOVES to play with his buddy Bruno the chihuahua.

Bean plays with his best buddy Bruno!
He eats a raw diet, and his favorite treats are liver and peanut butter.
What is your favorite website for pets (e.g. shop, arts, toys etc.)?
I love shopping Etsy for pet related items! I really love looking at Martha Stewart’s website for pet reviews and project ideas. Two of the many dog blogs and websites we love are Phetched.com and TildaintheBurbs.com.
What do you like most about living with Bean?
So many things! He is such a wonderful part of our family. Snuggles in the bed at night and belly rubs in the morning are two of my favorite things to do with Bean.

Bean makes everyone happy
What is the most annoying thing that Bean does?
Bean likes to push a toy at you over and over again and then look at you like, “ACTIVATE TOY!” It’s annoyingly adorable.
What is the most memorable moment with Bean?
The day Bean came home with us he curled up on my shoulder and went to sleep under my chin. It was my first day as a “mom” of any sort, and had a big impact on me.

Sweet Bean who loves to play and cuddle.
It’s most important to us that Bean is a happy, loved and healthy dog. We try to give him lots of exercise and trips to the dog park. We want him to have the best life possible.
What has living with Bean taught you?
Since Bean is our first and only “child”, it’s taught us a lot about each other’s parenting styles. Having Bean has given my husband and I a real feeling of being a family and has taught us how to make sacrifices and take care of each other. Bean gives us a great perspective on life because dogs live in the present, love copious amounts, and don’t judge. That’s such a great way to live life.

Bean and Family
We are big fans of Mid America Boston Terrier Rescue and are always happy to donate our products to any animal rescue organization for fundraisers and auctions!

Being a model is a hard work. Secret of being a great doggy model is to play hard after the photoshoot and then sleep.
Thank you Anne and Bean!

Hello, Anne and Bean! Bean is sooo cute… Just LOVE his cute outfits… WOW! Anne’s pet clothing is amazing–so stylish and fun… If we have great clothes, animals should too, right?! Great feature again this week, Kyoko. Hope you have a great weekend there!
) I’m cooking and cleaning today–got hubby’s parent’s coming over tomorrow, it’s Father’s Day weekend here. Talk to you soon… ((BIG HUGS))
Hi Tracy,
Oh, you are so good (cooking and cleaning). My flat is a bomb site at the moment!! The problem of my flat is that there aren’t much storage space. Lots of storage furnitures / plastic boxes are quite expensive here in the UK so I just tend to leave them out – hence messy flat….
Hope you have a wonderful time with your family! Happy weekend! *hugs*
