Silver Maple Designs & Prize Draw Give Away!

Silver Maple Baby Hat

I’m thrilled to see my Silver Maple children’s knitwear designs for the Bergère de France Little Purls e-booklet now in print and available to download! I’m also especially pleased to be part of this Special Fundraising Project, organised by Bergère de France, for the wonderful Sparks UK children’s charity.

Sparks funds life-saving research into conditions affecting babies, children and mums-to-be. The Little Purls e-booklet features my specially created patterns for a pair of booties and a beanie (above), as well as several more exciting new designs and four Bergère de France baby patterns. You can download the e-booklet here. All proceeds will go to the charity.

To mark the launch of the Little Purls e-booklet, I’m doing a Prize Draw Give Away of 4 balls of the wonderful Caline yarn (2 x Spiderman & 2 x Jerry) for pretty and practical baby clothes! The information on the giveaway is at the end of this post. Read on!

Silver Maple Inspiration

As a child, I used to love collecting silver maple seed pods and throwing them up into the air to see them twirl down like little helicopters. And I thought a design inspired by these seedpods would be perfect for these special baby patterns!

I also thought it would be nice for mothers to have accessories matching their baby’s outfit, so I designed a pair of adult socks and a hat as well! The baby version of Silver Maple (top two images above) is in the Little Purls book by Bergère de France and the patterns for the adult hat and socks (bottom two images above) are here in Cotton & Cloud Designs.

Hope you like the designs!
