Unique Knits – Timeless Style

This hip-length cardigan was inspired by the swathes of richly coloured, autumn leaves covering the ground. My aim was to create a comfy cardigan that’s easy to slip on, but also well shaped and elegant.
The cardigan is seamlessly knitted top-down. The autumn leaves pattern adds a very subtle increase to the front edge, giving a slightly flared waist for comfort. The casual matching belt gives a flattering waistline and is held in place by the highly distinctive crossed-leaves belt loop at the back. Simple, comfortable and stylish, this is a cardigan you won’t ever want to take off!

Chunky Bobbles

This wonderfully thick and warm over-sized cardigan features all-over bobbles in an attractive diagonal formation. My inspiration for this cardigan came from the little pebbles you often find when walking in the woods.
The cardigan is seamlessly knitted top-down. Knitted with the warmest and thickest Jamieson’s of Shetland Marl, this is a perfect distinctive and versatile cardigan to keep you cosy during the cold weather.
And if you’re feeling adventurous, why not knit the bobbles in a contrasting colour?

Assymetric Knitting

This asymmetric cardigan is inspired by the way trailing ivy follows the light from the sun. It features chunky cables worked in short-rows to create the attractive curve around the neck.
The matching cable is also used for the sleeves, where its size increases slowly to give the visual illusion of a slightly-flared sleeve.
The beautiful shimmer and distinct cable come from the fabulous combination of silk and merino in Fyberspates’ Scrumptious Aran yarn.
The technique is concentrated on the cables around the collar, with the rest knitted in stocking stitch. This is an enjoyable, ‘brain-teaser’ project that will reward you with a beautiful cardigan!

Modern Open Cardigan

This oversized cable cardigan is designed to wrap (“maku” in Japanese) you in a delicious chunky knit. It is made of one simple rectangular piece. A provisional cast-on method is used to work one side of the garment, then stitches are later picked up to work the other side in order to place the cable motif neatly at the centre back of the garment.

You can customize by adding an extra number of stitches for the stockinette stitch section to increase the length of the garment.
