Special Paper Cord for Purse Making - Medium (5m)
Product Information
Traditional Japanese purse makers use this paper cord when inserting the purse into the frame. It serves as a "filler" within the gap of the purse frame to ensure that the purse is securely held onto the frame.
HOW TO USE:
-
STEP 1: Insert the purse into the frame which already has glue applied inside. At this stage, the purse does not have to be fully inserted. During this step, make sure the purse is positioned correctly.
STEP 2: Cut the required amount of paper cord and unwind it so that it "bulks up".
STEP 3: Using your finger, insert the unwound paper cord in within the gap of the purse frame on the interior side.
STEP 4: Using something pointy (like a small flat screw driver or our hand-held purse inserting tool), push the cord all the way into the purse frame. This will catch the fabric and push the purse all the way into the frame as well.
By doing this process, the glue is in contact with the fabric, the purse frame and the paper cord ensuring the purse does not come out of the frame.
IDEAL FOR:
- purse making
- making sure the purse is securely fixed in the frame
