The pattern uses crochet US terms and is for a knowledgeable, confident beginner at least or intermediate.

Try using different size crochet hooks and different weights of yarn to obtain different sizes or make more or less sts in your beginning chain,

I have included a photo tutorial to help you visualize how it is crocheted.

The pattern is a PDF file format so you will need to be able to open Adobe Acrobat.

The pattern turned out just like the picture. I modified it to have the shells more spaced out to fit the child better. Picture examples are provided in the pattern download.
