This pattern will show you how to make this lovely three dimensional rose vine--everything but the thorns! Instructions are in standard U.S./Canadian terms with photos included. The stem and leaves are worked all in one piece. The roses are worked separately, rolled and sewn to the stem. I think the end result is worth the extra effort.
If you would like to try felting, instructions are given to use the washing machine or by hand.
This pdf crochet pattern has all the information you need to make a lariat style necklace/scarf with a central rose and two smaller rosebuds. If wool is used, the lariat may be felted for a completely different look.
This versatile lariat may be worn in several ways. Tie it loosely around your neck with the ends trailing. Wrap it around again to wear as a collar. Use it as a belt or tie it around your hat. Very easy to follow even for a beginner like me. I can only guess that the pattern needs only 1 ball of Yarn at the recommended weight for the length wanted. Can't wait to Try this out :)
