Babies heads grow very fast in the first few months of life. My baby hats are made to fit standard head circumferences, according to the World Health Organisation.

Size guide:
Newborn* = 13-15 inches circumference
1-3 months = 14-16 inches circumference
3-6 months = 15-17 inches circumference
6-12 months = 17-18 inches circumference

*This size should fit most babies snugly from birth to approximately 1 month old.

These labels serve as a general guide only as size doesn’t always correlate with age. It is advisable to measure the inches around the largest part of the baby’s head if possible, in order to choose the size with the best fit. However, the stretchiness of these hats allow them to adjust well to a baby’s rapidly growing brain!

Items made with 100% acrylic wool may be hand washed with a mild detergent or machine washed on a gentle cycle. If you lay them flat to air dry, they are more likely to retain their shape.

Every care is taken to weave in loose ends of wool and attach accessories, such as pom-poms, as securely as possible. If an end of wool does pop out due to regular handling, wearing or washing, simply tuck it back in or snip it off with some sharp scissors to neaten it up. This should not affect the integrity of the item.

You can also use your fingers to fluff up any pom-poms that may become a little flat during postage and after washing.

As with all baby items, supervision is required. While every care is taken to make and secure poms-poms and other accessories, rough handling could cause damage and detachment. Supervision is required to avoid these accessories becoming a choking hazard.

I endeavour to show the colours of the wools as accurately as possible by photographing them outside in daylight but device settings may mean that the true colour varies slightly from the colour you see on screen.

I am happy to crochet items to order in other colour combinations and sizes not listed. Please feel free to contact me with any particular requests, unlisted preferences or for advice on the best colour combinations.

Postage and delivery times vary depending on whether an item is bespoke and made-to-order or ready-to-go. Please check each item listing for accurate information about expected date of delivery. I work hard to meet these expected dates but please note that they are estimates and are occasionally affected by delays within third-party delivery companies, such as Royal Mail.
If I receive several orders at once, lead times for bespoke orders may be longer than anticipated. If this is ever the case, you will be informed in advance and refunded if required.
Similarly, if you require an item sooner than is estimated, please contact me BEFORE you order and I will let you know whether I have the capacity to shorten the lead time for your item.

All of my items are sent wrapped in tissue paper within cardboard postal boxes to ensure they arrive in the best condition.

If your order is a gift, I am happy to include a short, handwritten note free of charge and send directly to the recipient. Please contact me with an alternative postal address and any message to be included in the box.

I make booties in four sizes to fit newborn babies and babies who are 0-3, 3-6 and 6-12 months old. These labels are a general guide only as size doesn’t always correlate with age. If possible, it is advisable to measure the length of each foot from heel to big toe, in order to choose the best fit.

The design of these booties makes them soft and flexible, with a flat sole and wide toe box to allow baby’s bare feet to develop naturally.
